When looking for a new winter bait we had a Facebook competition of suggesting a flavour and the top 8 went into a vote off. This combination is a quality twist on the proven pineapple flavour with the butyric and black pepper oil adding an extra punch to the bait.
The vote was eventually won by the suggestion of a Cherry Bakewell flavour which beat the Pineapple flavour in the final vote off. I was so keen to fish this suggestion myself that I add this to the range as well as a Bakewell and it is proving a very popular choice.

How I fish it
This is something I’m always getting asked – what my personal choice of bait and tactics are. In the cooler months, I always have one rod on this hook bait where I’ll usually fish a trimmed down glugged 15mm wafter on a D-Rig.
For baiting up I use a couple of options depending on where I’m fishing. If it’s close in the margins then I’ll hand scatter some broken matching boilies around the hook bait. If I’m further out I’ll use a PVA bag of broken boilies that have been through the chopper and are a little more broken down.
